What is Eczema?

Eczema is actually an umbrella term used to describe a group of inflammatory conditions that impact the skin. This impacts individuals in the form of itchiness, redness, and dryness. (1)

This irritation can be severe and it commonly affects areas such as the hands, feet, face, and joint regions like the elbows and knees. (1)

For individuals with this condition, in places that move frequently such as the knees and hands, this can be painful.

It can affect any part of the body. (2)

What Causes Eczema?

While scientists are still trying to understand the complex nature of what causes eczema, a definite answer has not been found. It is believed though that a combination of environmental pathogens and genetic factors are to blame. (2)

Many things can trigger eczema in individuals suffering from this condition. Those things include severe weather environments. Such as being very hot, very cold, or humid. Conditions such as stress can amplify the effects of eczema on the skin. (3)

Irritants such as cigarette smoke, cleaning products, and soaps (4)

Allergens, such as pet dander, pollen, and dust can also amplify this condition (1)

Ingredients:

Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera), Olive Oil (Olea europaea L.), Basil Oil (Ocimum basilicum), Vitamin E Oil, Unfiltered Beeswax, Rose Essence Oil, Calendula (Calendula officinalis), Rose Hip (Rose canina L.), Mimosa Hostilis (Mimosa tenuiflora), French Lavender (Lavandula stoechas), Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus)

Further Considerations

Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Typically a salve can be diluted by mixing equal parts of olive oil or coconut oil for very sensitive skin. If you have any problems you can further dilute or simply decrease the amount applied.

It’s extremely important that you discontinue use of this product or any product if you experience:

• Any increase in symptoms
• If you develop a rash.

Avoid use on extremely broken skin and large open wounds.
